Feature and Benefits
 
Acepromazine, a main ingredient of SEDAJECT injection, is a Phenothiazine derivative and as such an excellent and very well tolerated tranquilizer. Acepromazine controls mental and nervous states and relaxes the autonomic nervous system by controlling central nervous system (CNS) of animals. This action makes a conditioned reflexes which can occur by change of situation and change of behavioral pattern induced from sudden change of mental and nervous state mild and makes excited animals docile in order to treat easily. Furthermore, Acepromazine is an effective ingredient since its therapeutic effect is similar to other Phenothiazine derivatives and is stronger than Chlorpromazine and Promazine and its side effect is rare relatively.

For preanesthesia

For control of violent behavior


Dosage and Use
 
Swine, Horses, Cattle, Sheep :
Inject 0.5mL per 100kg of body weight intravenously, or 1mL per 100kg of body weight intramuscularly.
Dogs, Cats :
Inject 0.02~0.03mL per 1kg of body weight intramuscularly or intravenously.


Note :
In case of intravenous injection tranquilizing effect is attained after 5~7 minutes, and in case of intramuscular injection, after 20~30 minutes.
The effect of medicine lasts for 6~10 hours approximately.
In order to maintain continuous tranquilizing effect, it is required to administer repeatedly every 6~8 hours according to the above dosage.


Precaution(s) and others
 
1. Do not administer excessive amount to livestock.
2. In the case of intravenous administration, it should be injected slowly.
3. Do not use this drug in conjunction with organophosphorus compounds (such as therapeutic agent for milk fever, etc.).
4.Treat it in accordance with the direction of your veterinarian.
