Feature and Benefits

1. GAMMA ointment is a therapeutic agent against mastitis prescribed ideally with three kinds of antibiotics which have a high susceptibility to all original bacteria of mastitis, one kind of bacteriostatic agent, and high-grade adrenocortical hormone for antiphlogistic action.
2. The origin of udder infections (mastitis) is mostly a bacterial infection caused by Streptococci (Str. agalactiae, Str. dysgalactiae and Str. uberis), Staphylococci (Sta. aureus) and Gram-negative bacteria such as E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Corynebacterium spp..
Neomycin and Dihydrostreptomycin, broad spectrum antibiotics, exert excellent effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus agalactiae which are the main original bacteria of various mastitis. Neomycin, an aminoglycosides antibiotic, is also effective against infectious disease caused by Streptococcus uberis and Streptococcus dysgalactiae, not to speak of Nocardia spp. and Klebsiella spp..
3. Dihydrostreptomycin, an antibiotic from the aminoglycosides group, has a high susceptibility to E.coli which has been known to be main original bacteria of the acute mastitis, and also shows effectiveness on treatment of infectious disease occurring often before and after delivery.
4. Novobiocin exerts prominent therapeutic effect against infectious disease of Gram-positive cocci like Staphylococcus aureus which has resistance to other antibiotics.
5. Dexamethasone, a adrenocortical hormone, has excellent antiphlogistic action against inflammation and penetrates well to infectious area of lactiferow duct. Futhermore, Dexamethasone reduces the risks of breast hardenning or continuous losing of milk caused by damage of mammary tissue.
